For the past 10 years, Alex Shamash has been working as the head of business development software for Messenger Plus!, an add-on feature for Microsoft Corporation’s instant messaging service. In his leadership role at the company, Alex Shamash builds new ideas and concepts for Messenger Plus!, writes news scripts, and acts as a liaison between the company’s software promotion and public relations departments.

Messenger Plus! is a free product that has more than 60 million users worldwide. Informally known as “msg plus,” this software enhances Windows Live Messenger services through adding a number of easy-to-use and customizable options.

When he is not working on the next innovative feature of Messenger Plus!, Mr. Shamash keeps himself busy learning about the latest Facebook and Twitter applications, social media developments, and toolbars. He enjoys a number of outdoor hobbies as well, including sailing and cycling.

Alex Shamash is a graduate of Manchester University.
